You boil the bones for broth after the feast you prepared.
Not wasting their potential.
I clean the kitchen, and let you sleep.
I don’t tell you I love you, but I put the kids to bed.
You don’t tell me you love me, but you buy me the better dish soap that doesn’t dry out my hands.
And there isn’t much time for chocolate and flowers and moonlight walks.
But we are older now, and love is in our actions, not our words.
The years are passing by, soon the kids will be grown.
But we will always have each other.
