Rest Well Tonight
On the way back from the store,
My boy runs ahead with the dog,
The dog runs with sheer abandon,
Great clouds of condensation trail off as he pants.
I walk alone, Christmas lights light the street as the time is almost here.
The boys got a pop, the dog got a walk, life is good in our household.
I can rest well tonight.
