The Day After Christmas
It’s the day after Christmas,
And the ladies are pondering a puzzle in the kitchen,
The boys are glued to their electronics, and I poke at my keyboard.
A new year is coming up, and I look ahead,
What can change? An entire year of small changes — put them together day by day,
One little building block at a time.
I want to do things this year, another year of healing has passed us by,
I want to do the things that make us stronger this year.
I don’t depend on you for happiness — but lets face it, our lives are so intertwined.
The happier I can make you, the better my life can be.
So I plan, for a new year, one filled with little surprises.
